Within London’s competitive education system, a lot is asked from children and parents alike. New figures show that one in four UK children, and almost half in London, have private tuition to help them with school work, music education and language learning. With the best tutors often scattered around town, finding a suitable one is just another stressful addition to the lives of families.
But, it shouldn’t have to be that way. The Study House is London’s first academic members club for children aged four to 11. Open Monday to Saturday, and full-time during term-time holidays, the Chelsea-based members club provides a stress-free environment with a focused, goal-orientated yet unpressurised system.
Founded by a team of tutors, parents and former teachers, the service offers a productive learning trajectory for your child, regardless of their age. Bringing together a variety of educational fields necessary for a child’s top education, they have brought to life a new concept set to revolutionise the tutoring industry in London, creating a one-stop destination that covers all subject levels from reception all the way up to the 11+ exams. On weekdays, membership services also include school pick-up and home drop-off, homework tuition, one-to-one subject specific tuition, piano and guitar tuition, and French, Spanish and German lessons.
On Saturdays, the clubhouse transforms into an extra-curricular wonderland with computer coding, drama, orchestra, and mandarin lessons forming just a small selection of the many courses on offer. As on weekdays, home pick-up and drop-off is available too. The building is fully fitted with CCTV, allowing busy parents to view their child – whether in the office, on a business trip or simply at home – via an app.
Membership starts at £949 per month and is inclusive of all services offered at The Study House. Applications are non-selective in nature, however numbers are strictly limited due to the specialised tutoring concept.
