Christmas on Regent Street

London’s favourite shopping hub comes alive this festive season

Is it us, or are the Christmas lights of W1 looking better than ever this year? Well, living up to its name as London’s original shopping district, Regent Street will continue to brighten up December with its array of free festive activities for families, including glass bauble decorating, present wrapping and personalisation of gifts, a fun photo booth and more.

Families can add a bespoke touch to their Christmas with the street’s Customise Your Christmas hub. On 1-2 and 8-9 December, the Quadrant Arcade will be open to all who want to make their gifts stand out underneath the tree, with the embossing of leather goods from Krintech, bespoke wrapping from experts using custom-made paper, and gift-tag calligraphy from Lucy Edmonds of Quill London.

Children and adults can also get creative at the bauble decorating classes hosted by The Crafty Hen, and finally, don’t forget to take a snap in the Regent Street photo booth. Against the hand-drawn backdrop of one of the capital’s most iconic streets, family, friends and loved ones will be snapped together in a photo that can be shared instantly via social media or printed out as a keepsake.

As part of Customise Your Christmas, Regent Street will continue to support London-based homeless charity The Connection, by opening a gifting point for donations and unwanted clothing.

Throughout the month, little ones will love spotting the enchanting Sugar Plum Fairies and Toy Soldiers lurking up and down Regent Street, too. Be sure to head over to Heddon Street, where you’ll find the characters dishing out warming hot chocolate and mince pies – and don’t forget to take a photo!
