News: Little Dish Launches Healthy Children’s Pizza
Children’s food brand Little Dish has launched My First Pizza, a healthy pizza aimed at toddlers.
The range features three flavours, Pesto Chicken and Veg, Mini Meatballs and Veg, and Classic Margherita, with each pizza including enough veg to provide one of your toddler’s five-a-day. The ingredients are also 100% natural, with no additives, preservatives or added sugar.
Fulfilling strict nutritional guidelines, the pizzas are 35% lower in salt* than the average child’s chilled pizza, and are suitable for children over the age of one.
Dietitian Lucy Jones says: “Shop-bought children’s pizzas often contain quite high levels of salt and saturated fat for little ones, and also contain hidden free sugars. The Little Dish My First Pizza contains 35% less salt than the average chilled children’s pizza* and, like all Little Dish meals, contains no added sugar.”
Charlotte Tisdall, Little Dish marketing director, adds: “Mums and dads often tell us they feel guilty about giving pizza to their little ones because they’re worried about hidden nasties. So we set ourselves the challenge of making a delicious, healthy pizza that gives parents complete peace of mind.”
The Little Dish My First Pizza is available from Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, ASDA and Ocado.com and is £2.50.
