Come one, come all, and help us celebrate songs and stories of the sea at this free family festival assembling some of the UK’s best sea shanty singing crews!
Head to Museum of London Docklands this weekend to enjoy the Maritime Music Festival. With plenty of family fun, there’ll be live music throughout Saturday 18 & Sunday 19 November between 12pm and 4pm, with acts including Hughie Jones of The Spinners, plus Keith Kendrick & Sylvia Needham to name but a few.
A full schedule of activities for children of all ages will run on both days of the festival; from naval knot tying classes to poetry rhyming sessions and full-scale sea shanty singalongs, your kids will come away with a brand new skill or two. And if it all gets too much, you can take a breather from all the action at the family-friendly café space, Rum & Sugar, where kids eat free!*
*Kids eat free is available for each child accompanied by an adult ordering a main course from the a la carte menu. Children must be under 10 years old. One child per adult.
