Chessington World of Adventures is serious about offering families action and experiences and the theme park, consisting of over 10 themed lands from Wanyama to Wild Asia, is so jam-packed with all-weather thrills it’s hard for other theme parks and zoos to compare.

You’ll enjoy face to face encounters with over 1000 animals including tigers, lions, Rothschild’s giraffe, serval cats, and gorillas in the Chessington Zoo and Sea Life Centre and can combine your day at the zoo with a ride at the same time by hopping onto Zufari; a delightful off-road truck adventure.

The kids will adore saying hello to the inquisitive spider monkeys too or heading to the children’s zoo and petting African pygmy goats and then observing creepy crawlies and pythons in the reptile house.

The Adventure Theme Park features over 40 rides where big and little kids can let off steam – especially Vampire, a family friendly adrenaline packed roller coaster that has your legs dangling below as you soar through the skies like a bat out of hell, zooming high above tree tops.

Tiger Rock over in the Land of the Tiger area makes brilliant use of the tiger habitat with a walk through viewing area followed by a wet-and-wild log flume at the end offering a truly unique way to view the majestic beasts in action.

Two new rides in the Shipwreck Coast area, Trawler trouble and Barrel Bail Out, will have you jumping about in barrels trapped in a whirlpool or riding the mini-waves in a mini pirate ship.

Expect visits to Canopy Capers with pre schoolers – a fantastic sky-high play area with a wooden tree house and rope bridges – to last longer than expected; you’ll literally have to tear the children away from it and into the next attraction. It’s the perfect day out when in Surrey, especially when considering the Sea Life centre on site too.
