Spread Joy And Support Mums With A Clothing Donation
London Mums have been invited to gift their childrens’s outgrown clothing in order to benefit other Mums in the city, just in time for Mother’s Day.
The new children’s clothing initiative, ‘Bundle of Joy’, is run by leading behaviour change charity, Hubbub, in partnership with The Herne Hill Forum. Designed to redistribute outgrown children’s clothing to support families in the local area, increasing the lifespan of tots’ togs will help reduce the amount of clothing going to waste.
Each mother who wishes to donate will be encouraged to visit pick up points, where she can collect an empty bundle and create her own customised gift tag. Once filled, donations can be dropped off at a special ‘Mother’s bedroom’ installation in Brockwell Lido, where the ‘Bundles of Joy’ will be distributed to support other mums in need on 6th March 2016 – Mother’s Day.
Gift your Bundles of Joy in four easy steps:
- Pick up a bundle to fill with joy from pick up points around Herne Hill – Brockwell Lido, Carneige Library, Duo Dance, Jelly Tots Café or White Feather.
- Fill your bundle with good quality outgrown clothes for ages 0-6 and decorate your gift tag.
- Share your #BundleOfJoy on your Twitter, Facebook
- Drop off your bundle at pop-up Mum’s bedroom at Brockwell Lido and pick up a thank you daffodil.
The ‘Bundle of Joy’ campaign builds on last year’s award winning campaign ‘From a Mother to Another’ where, in collaboration with baby retailer JoJo Maman Bebe, Hubbub collected an incredible 50,000 garments which led to 4,000 families benefiting from the new clothes.
